COLOR TRANSITION PANORAMA F and MOSAIC F for sangetsu
The carpet tiles "COLOR TRANSITION," a collaboration with Sangetsu Corporation, have been released in Sangetsu's sample catalog "2023-2026 DT." The collection includes two variations: "PANORAMA F," which changes its impression based on the viewing direction using visual effects, and "MOSAIC F," which changes its impression based on viewing distance.
"PANORAMA F" strategically arranges colors with variations in elevation, creating a visual effect where the perceived intensity of colors changes based on the viewing direction. This design is suitable for laying in long corridors or subtly zoning large spaces. The elevated border enhances the visual effect, making the foreground color more distinct. For instance, when laid in a long corridor, it allows for a gradual color transition on the outbound and inbound paths, providing diverse expressions to the space.
"MOSAIC F" introduces variations in pattern intensity through elevation differences in the design. With lower levels of gray as the base and higher elevations reminiscent of grassy greens, the visual effect emphasizes the protruding green parts when viewed from a distance. This creates a subtle shift in impression between the foreground and background, dynamically enhancing the spatial depth. When viewed up close, the pattern appears distinct, while from a distance, it gives the illusion of an expansive field of grass. The design allows for altering the spatial impression with the movement of vision.
株式会社サンゲツとコラボレーションしたカーペットタイル"COLOR TRANSITION"がサンゲツの新作見本帳「2023-2026 DT」にてリリースされました。視覚効果を利用して、見る方向で印象が変わる"PANORAMA F" と、見る距離で印象が変わる"MOSAIC F"の２種を展開しています。
"PANORAMA F" は、デザインに高低差を設けて色の並びを工夫したことで、見る方向によって強く見える色が変化します。長い廊下に敷いたり広いスペースをゆるやかにゾーニングしたりするのに適しています。ボーダー部分に高さを設けているため、視覚効果によって手前に配置したほうの色をよりはっきりと見せられます。たとえば長い廊下に敷くと、往路と復路で色がゆるやかに変化し空間に多彩な表情を与えることも可能です。
"MOSAIC F"は、デザインに高低差を設けたことにより、視覚効果で模様の濃淡が変化します。ベースのグレーを低く、芝を彷彿とさせるグリーンを高く織り、高低差を設けました。離れるほどに凸部のグリーンが際立つので、手前と奥とでゆるやかに印象が変化し、空間の奥行きをよりダイナミックに演出できます。近くで見ると模様がしっかりと見え、離れるほどに芝が面で広がっているように見えます。視覚の移動に伴って空間の印象を変化させることが可能です。
